The East Santa Fe River runs along the south side of East Alameda (Spanish for tree-lined street) Street. From East Palace Ave to Don Gaspar Ave is the East Santa Fe River Park. Convenient to your sight seeing of the Plaza is the part from Paseo de Peralta to Don Gaspar Ave with picnic tables and a stone pedestrian bridge over the river. Large cottonwood trees shade most of the park.
It’s a great place to take a lunch from the vendors on the Plaza.
